Intellectual Property
The term 'intellectual property' describes original ideas that have in some way been given physical form. These ideas are protected in a variety of ways, including through the use of copyright, patents and trademarks. Often the IP assets of a company are what differentiate it from its competitors, and yet companies frequently underestimate the true value of their IP holdings and the measures needed to protect them.
At Babbe our policy is to anticipate the needs of our clients and to help them maximise their opportunities. Recent changes to Guernsey's intellectual property laws means that the island now boasts an IP regime at the cutting edge of international standards and providing rights not currently available in other low tax jurisdictions.
We assist our clients with the registration of their IP assets and provide advisory and dispute resolution services. We also provide an auditing service designed to ensure that our clients are taking full advantage of their intellectual property assets.
