Funds

Fund legislation in Guernsey has evolved rapidly in the last ten years, particularly

following the introduction of the Protected Cell Company legislation.

The Fund services team at Babbe are able to advise and assist institutions and

individual asset managers with the correct structure and vehicle to suit their

purpose and then to guide them through the application and submission process.

Babbe have the experience and expertise to assist the retail and institutional manager and can advise on traditional structuring such as closed-ended or open-ended funds; the relative benefits of umbrella funds, limited partnerships and trusts; through to the use of more recent legislation such as the Protected Cell Company and, since 2006, the Incorporated Cell Company.

We are frequently instructed by new and existing asset managers and financial institutions to advise on compliance and regulatory matters relating to daily fund administration and on procedures and assistance for a listing on the Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX).
